'Dynamic Mirror II' by Soo Joo is a wooden wall mirror with a unique but timeless asymmetric form. It is hung with a custom-made steel French cleats, and can be hung horizontally and vertically.
Dynamic Mirror II is a novel asymmetric full-body mirror, composed of interlacing glass planes and empty cavities. The undulating thick and thin frame is hand-carved by the artist, creating an ethereal and poetic flow. The silhouette is based on a monoprint artwork by Soo Joo. The essence of traditional Korean aesthetics is creatively reimagined into a modern context, in this mirror piece. Her intuitive eye for novel forms and her sensitivity to detail come from her background in fine art and sculpture, which she applies to create art furniture for the home. It is hung with custom-made steel French cleats.
