Georgian mahogany tray-top commode bedside cabinet

About the Item

Georgian mahogany tray-top commode, the raised gallery pierced to the sides to form a pair of carrying handles. The inset top of well figured flame mahogany over a sliding tambour door above a pair of drawers with cock-beading and each with a pair of swan-neck brass handles. English, circa 1780 - 1800 This commode or bedside table retains the wonderful colour to the mahogany that can only be achieved by a well preserved piece of antique furniture. Presented in excellent condition and ready to use. The tambour door slides open easily to reveal an empty compartment.
