WWII Admiralty Morse Code Signal Floor Lamp
About the Item
Morse Code Shutter Floor lamp reclaimed from a Mid-Century US Naval warship. These lamps were a common fixture on U.S. warships as can be seen in WWII period photography. They were used to communicate to transmit code between other ships & aircraft to maintain radio silence. The lamp has several layers of navy grey paint which have been stripped off and PROFESSIONALLY POLISHED TO A CHROME FINISH at our workshop in the United Kingdom. The data plate is missing. The inner shutter opens & closes by pulling on the handles with an intact glass casing. Professional light fixture installed inside equipped for sun or moonlight. The lamp comes in a chrome finish and is adjustable with a 360 degree turning wheel. In overall excellent condition, this is a unique piece of WWII U.S. Navy history to display as is or even to serve as a working lamp! All lights are professionally re-wired in-house to exceed US Standards using CE approved components. For all orders to the UK, UL-listed bulb holders and 100v bulbs will be fitted. All lights are sold ready for use in your home or commercial installation.
