Bolla di trasporto marittimo su carta del 29 Ottobre 1841, della ditta Doret e Emetaz di Genova incaricata di caricare mercanzie a bordo del brigantino e di consegnarle al signor Gio. Battista Boschi. Buono stato piccole macchie diffuse. Misure cornice cm 29x20,5 – inches 11.4x8.1. Il nolo è una pratica utilizzata per il commercio marittimo fin dall’antichità che si è evoluta nel corso del tempo. Il termine nolo deriva dal greco naulon che significava nave. In origine era un contratto per il quale pagando un prezzo di nolo, si potevano trasportare merci o persone per mezzo di una nave. Già duemila anni orsono sia i Romani che i Greci praticavano il noleggio e veniva considerata un’attività molto rispettata nell’antica Roma. Durante il Medioevo, verso l’anno mille con l’intensificarsi dei commerci in seguito alle crociate, in Europa si ebbe un aumento degli scambi con l’Oriente. Da terre lontane come l’Arabia e l’India arrivavano merci molto richieste sia per usi alimentari che cosmetici e farmaceutici. Piccole grandi compagnie si misero a noleggiare navi ed equipaggi ai mercanti per il viaggio con cospicui guadagni.
