Large Antique Salvaged Pyle & National Co. Nautical or Marine Spotlight

About the Item

This large and substantial Art Deco industrial nautical spotlight was made by the Pyle & National Company of Chicago Illinois in circa 1925 in the period industrial Art Deco style. There is no provenance for this light, as this company is known for its manufacture of various types of lighting for commercial applications for locomotives and marine purposes as well as for the military. The upper casing of this spotlight appears to be brass under the thick green paint, and as such is presumed to be from a boat. This very large painted brass spotlight sits on a very sturdy pedestal base and was made to be stationary, but does tilt up and down on the stand. This light has not been tested and the front corrugated lens is cracked from top to bottom. The light is clearly signed "Pyle & National Co." in cast letters around the perimeter of the base.
