Louis XIV era church cattedra. At the centre the profile of a cleric, wearing the black doctoral biretta with four flaps , typical for doctorates of pontifical universities and departments. Beautiful watergilt details and fragments, polychromies and faux marble lacquer. Original patina and hardware for this one-of-a-kind item.
