- Post Modern Native American Portrait Painting of a Native Woman - Clair SeglemLocated in Oklahoma City, OKSourced from the estate of the late Oklahoma artist Clair Seglam. An airforce man for most of his life, Seglem only began painting after his retirement. Most known for his vibrant portraits and nudes, he completed a vast portfolio of work before he died in 2020. This piece is part of a collection that was found in one of his old sketchbooks. It was hidden away in our warehouse when we happened upon it during inventory one day. To our surprise, the notebook held a jewel box of unseen work. This piece is a portrait of a native woman on a brown background. The woman has long braided dark hair and wears a black sleeveless top. She has a red lip and long beaded earrings. The background is a watercolor...Category
