These highly detailed bronze bookends are a fine example of cold painted Vienna bronze workmanship. Brightly colored and crisp casting is often the work by the artist "Chotka", who often worked the noted foundry of Franz Bergmann. An unusual format for Vienna bronzes to be done in bookends. 2 pieces for one price.

  • Condition:
    Wear consistent with age and use. Minor fading. As you can see one bookend shows fading, possible cleaned, and so loss of color, but still beautiful. The other bookend is in really fine condition. If we just were looking at the faded example, we would think it was good. Still, beautiful bookends.
