Antique Northwest Persian Runner circa 1930
About the Item
A handsome dark blue runner hand woven in north western Iran.Featuring elegantly curved boteh that are simply drawn; complexities are ruled out by the difficult ikat technique. The pattern comes alive through the contrast of red/maroon with the dark blue ground. The runner is surrounded by one main border in a beautiful green and four guard borders unusually positioned as three on one side and one at the end!
Dyes used to create this runner are all organic and wool is hand spun.there are no restorations on this rug and the runner is in great condition. All sides and ends are original.
