Vintage Persian Qashqai Tribal Area Rug in Rust, Ivory, Royal Blue, Yellow, Navy

A wonderful Qashqai tribal carpet from the early 1900s from southwest Persia. A large medallion almost covers the whole rug with small geometric designs in various colors set throughout the medallion. It has dark blue spandrels with small geometric forms. The rug has a very unique design with all-natural vegetable dyes which adds to the beauty of the rug. Vintage Persian Hand-Knotted gallery or room size rug from the Shiraz region of Western Persia circa the early 1900s. The tribal design rug, similar to Qashqai rugs, comes with traditional three vertical medallions which is “Shiraz Signature” pattern. The use of cream color in the medallions on a rust or a maroon field makes the design stand out. The use of the tree and animal forms throughout the field is a signature design of the tribal weaver of this region. Vintage Persian Qashqai(Ghashghai) tribal carpet from Southwestern Persia circa the mid 1900s. The Qashqai rug has a traditional tribal design format which includes one central medallion and four small medallions in the corner spandrels. It has a red field color with a central medallion in dark blue. The corner spandrels design shows a small medallion in ivory. The Qashqai tribes use vegetable dyes (except the orange color) with all wool material in their weavings.
