19th Century Handwoven Aubusson Rug, Green with Flowers
By Aubusson Manufacture
Located in Paris, FR
Handwoven antique Aubusson rug, circa 1820 Material: wool Dimensions: 250 x 240 cm; 8.2 x 7.87 ft Boccara Gallery has an important collection of Aubusson rugs from the XVIIIth to the XXth centuries. The style developed in Aubusson is recognized today as one of the most influential of the European rug and tapestries History. Workshops to produce Aubusson flat-woven rugs were established under the royal warrant in 1743 to manufacture pile carpets primarily for the nobility. Many weavers who settled in France were Huguenots who had fled Spain during the Inquisition in the early sixteenth century. By issuing the edict of Nantes, Henry IV granted all non-Catholics freedom of worship...

Antique Ivory French Aubusson Rug. Size: 10 ft x 13 ft 6 in
Located in New York, NY
Stunning antique French Aubusson rug, country of origin: France, date circa 1900 - Size: 10 ft x 13 ft 6 in (3.05 m x 4.11 m). This delicate French Aubusson rug has a dreamy, romantic feel. It was created around the turn of the 20th century. Even though it is over 100 years old, it is the perfect piece for several contemporary design trends. This piece is recognizably an Aubusson that uses softer pinks and pastels, which is a hallmark of Aubusson works. This carpet is a finely woven tapestry. It has a backing to protect it from wear. The design has a Rococo feel with its sweeping curves, scrollwork, and trompe l’oeil floral patterns. Curvy, natural forms are a characteristic of late Baroque and Victorian design. This carpet would be perfectly at home in a formal room with gilding, elegant antique furniture, and brocades throughout. It has a classic feel that is refined and elegant. It also has an aged look that gives it a shabby chic feel, too. Romance pink and millennial pink are among the most popular color trends...

AKI Rug B Hand-Tufted Version, Multicolored Organic Shaped Rug
By Studio Christine Kalia
Located in Larnaca, CY
This is the hand-tuffted version of AKI rug B, made in collaboration with the visual artist Ria Alexandrou. Painting with several mediums, sketching, making tapestries or setting up installations, Ria translates the time and its impact in our memory as images or spaces to be experienced. Her practice, is informed by literary texts, sociopolitical aspects of living while commenting on the contrasting aspects of materials in relation to the space that withholds them. Currently she creates carpets and tapestries with a tufting gun, exploring it as a painting or sculptural medium. Her latest body of work, invokes sensorial memory through objects which are apparently ordinary such as carpets, by (mis)-placing and photograph them as outdoor installations, interventions in the urban space, ruins of the past and the future. Ria Alexandrou (b.1990, Greece) is a visual artist based in Cyprus, she graduated from the Athens School of Fine Arts in 2014, she had two solo exhibitions (2016), (2021) and presented her works in various group exhibitions in Cyprus and abroad. AKI rug B is an organic formed rug...

Jardin De Rocaille N° 2 Rug by Clément Vuillier
Located in Geneve, CH
Jardin de Rocaille N°2 Rug by Clément Vuillier Dimensions: D 240 x W 170 cm Materials: New Zealand wool and viscose. Also available in other colors, designs, and dimensions. Jardin de Rocaille is a collection of seven pieces, reinterpreted from artist Clément Vuillier’s illustration series . On one hand, “rocaille” echoing the art movement, is treated in the form of mineral extracts, stone flakes, and marble patterns. On the other hand, “Jardin” allows you to pass through large lawns with various leaves, flowers, petals, and berries, creating a fantasy garden with a scattering of rocks and a flash of lights. Manufactured with high-end wool and silk, this collection of hand-tufted rugs has a beautiful design and delicate texture, reflecting the pursuit of exquisite craftsmanship. The production technology of embossing, recessing, and carving highlights the contrast of color and texture to the utmost, reproducing a vivid garden landscape and vitalizing the space with immortal natural elements. Clément Vuillier is a resourceful man, the child of the snowy summits, the man of the black fir trees and of the wind that beats the rocky summits of the Hautes Pyrénées. We know where we come from when we come from Bagnères de Bigorre. His lungs inflated with pure air, Clément begins his journey in Paris, at the Estienne school, then goes to Strasbourg, at the School of Decorative Arts. With Idir Davaine...
