About the Item
Caprichair is a precise idea: function perfectly expressed. A playful, almost anthropomorphic form, a serendipitous example of details and small finishing touches. Its formal and conceptual idiom wavers, at times dominating, at times relaxed. Caprichair is the first of a family of products which can be utilized both in the home and in the office.
Armchair with reclining back, inner rigid structure with composite material certified REMADE IN ITALY® and flexible polyurethane filler. Front brushed die-cast aluminum feet. The rear is supported by three moving swivel rubber castors covered in polyurethane. Only upon request, 2 castors instead of the feet are available.
Born in 1958 in Ascona, Switzerland, he lived and worked in Zurich. His main professional activities were in the fields of product design and interior architecture. He designed fashion and furniture showrooms, public spaces, hotels, installations, offices, both in Switzerland and abroad. He designed limited edition collections of furnishings and accessories for several Swiss companies. His projects include furniture, lamps, watches, eyeglasses, rugs, handles, bikes. His collaboration with Baleri Italia began in 1985; he designed several many successful products for the company. Hannes Wettstein died in July 2008. only 50 years old.
