Jacobean Cane Back Armchairs, a Pair

About the Item

A pair of ornately carved Jacobean style armchairs. Back splats are double caned and topped with scrolled acanthus leaves each side of a central scallop shell. Square seats are upholstered with a light yellow fern damask secured with nailheads. Turned straight legs supported with an H-stretcher are decorated with rosettes and a front rail carved with scrolls. Dimensions per chair, arm height 28".
