About the Item

Lina Bo Bardi, born Achillina Bo, was an Italian-born Brazilian modernist architect. A prolific architect and designer, she devoted her working life, most of it spent in Brazil, to promoting the social and cultural potential of architecture and design. The Casa de Vidro, also known as the Glass House, is a landmark of modernist architecture located in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Designed by renowned Brazilian architect Lina Bo Bardi in 1950. The bola de latao armchair was designed for her house, The Glass House, in 1951, this is one of the most enigmatic chairs created by Lina Bo Bardi.
