Ejner Larsen and Aksel Bender Madsen Rare ‘Metropolitan’ armchair, model no. 2842/L designed 1949, executed circa 1961 Rosewood, leather Executed by master cabinetmaker Willy Beck, Copenhagen, Denmark. Underside with metal label impressed PRODUCED BY/CABINET-MAKER/WILLY BECK/COPENHAGEN/DENMARK/ARCHITECTS: EJNER LARSEN AND A. BENDER MADSEN. Leatherwork replaced by Niels Roth Andersen circa 2020. 3-4 inch impression to leather seat about 1mm deep as shown in pictures. Leather surface not broken or abraded, simply an impression.
