Rare vintage Scandinavian leather safari lounge chair, 1970s
About the Item
The sturdy armchair has a solid pine frame between which the black saddle leather seat is stretched. The leather backrest is slid over a frame. The leather straps at the back of the seat give the chair a nice robust character.
The chair is very similar to the Karin Mobring Diana safari chair for Ikea, but has a different shape of the wooden frame. Perhaps prototype or craftsmanship? What is certain is that this model is rare, perhaps one of a kind. Designer and producer unknown to us. Two copies available.
