Impressed signature to underside of base "Archotypo LXX"
A rare and impressive piece that is quite equally sculpture and furniture. Solid walnut, sculpted and formed into a striking chair. We happen to love this displayed on a pedestal like the work of art that it is, but it does serve nicely as an occasional chair.
Edward G. Livingston is the designer of this exquisite piece.
A slightly later, 1973 version of this chair sold at auction in 2009. Since that time, this design has been unavailable anywhere in the world, except now, from us, CONTEXTvintage.
