English 19th Century Oak Corner Chair with Carved Foliage and New Upholstery

An English oak corner chair from the 19th century, with carved foliage, mascaron motifs and new upholstery. Created in England during the 19th century, this oak corner chair features a richly carved back with foliage, connected to two serpentine arms with mascaron motifs. The seat, newly recovered with a light grey linen fabric, is resting on four legs, the front one being cabriole. With its skillfully carved décor and dark patina, this 19th century English oak corner chair will be a great addition to any room.

It is Victorian, carved and turned walnut on a part-upholstered corner armchair that is English or American from the late 19th Century according to our appraiser. The seat is triangular with a rounded front rail, that is backed by two low arms with raised upholstery.
