Inca Chair ottoman designed by Arne Norell for Norell Mobel AB Sweden

About the Item

inca ottoman designed by Arne Norell Manufactured by Norell Möbel AB, Sweden. Characteristic for Arne Norell‘s Inca furniture series and done other ms as well is it‘s stackable base. And the sling support for the seat. This elegant design allowed the furniture to remain open and the construction became part of the furniture‘s design itself. Elegant and rustic at the same time these furniture express their Swedish culture and are enormously comfortable to rest on. The base from solid oak or ash wood is stacked and held together by strong leather belts. Under the cushion the belts are sewn with a strong fabric forming a supporting sling. The ottoman is in overall good vintage condition. The brown leather upholstery shows some signs of use and wear appropriate to its age. The support shows a small damage in the area around one of the push buttons.
