Ranger lounge chair with ottoman by Erik Deforce for Gervan Belgium, 1970.

About the Item

"Ranger" lounge chair with ottoman by Erik Deforce (Rik Def) for Gervan, 1970. This leather lounge chair with Oak veneer base is part of the G collection designed by Eric Deforce. Erik Deforce was a designer from Belgium who loved the styles of the sixties, especially from Italy and Scandinavia. His best work, the 'the Lord' lounge chair from 1970, shows his passion for this kind of design. In 1970, Erik Deforce introduced the G-Collection at the 2nd Interieur Biennale in Kortrijk. Gervan was a small family company installed at Ingelmunster. Deforce aspired to put Belgian Design on the international map with the G-collection.
