About the Item

Theo Ruth, a notable Dutch furniture designer of the mid-20th century, gained recognition for his innovative creations with Artifort. After training at Maastricht's School of Applied Arts and joining Wagemans & Van Tuinen in 1936, he became Artifort's first permanent designer, spearheading its design evolution. Initially focusing on traditional living-room furniture, Ruth's early work laid the foundation for the brand's enduring design heritage. Professionally redone in Alpaca Velvet.
