About the Item
Carved sculptural contemporary wooden stool/table from locally sourced elmwood in Sweden. Hand carved by master Swedish woodmaker ELAKFORM. The organic form is charred and treated with linseed-oil. The top is finished with a green smooth surface that reveals the cross-section of the tree. The flat top makes it work as a tabletop or seating. ELAKFORM work with furniture and objects who lies in the CROSSOVER between art and design, to create a feeling and awake curiosity in the user. The furniture are to produce a specific expression of sense as well as an emotional as thoughtful empathy, not only possesses a user function. ELAKFORM creates character rich , sculptural furniture with a playful and experimental attitude, where the most important is the visual meeting that comes up between the user and the artefact. Each object from ELAKFORM is made in only one edition.
