About the Item
The Montrose Stool, a sharp, bold, angular form. Made from solid hardwoods with a carved seat for comfort. Constructed with lots of exposed joinery and interesting details. The top of the legs are bridle joints, let into the seat. The foot rest is mortised into the front legs.
The carved seat is extremely comfortable and set at an angle that gives support to your body.
Our bridle collection is a design exploration around the bridle joint, an open mortise and tenon. The name Montrose is a after a horse that won the Kentucky Derby in 1887.
Finished with a hand applied wiping varnish.
Seat height is 27" to fit standard kitchen counters. Also available as 24" seat height and 31" bar height.
