18th Ctr. Chinese Qing Dynasty Carved Butterfly Style Cabinet
About the Item
18th Century sideboard or side cabinet.
Decorated with fine ornate relief carvings on front and drawer and carved spandrels at each side that taper down to the feet.
Original polychrome lacquer.
The sideboard is untouched in original condition, with natural age-related patina. Has only been restored with a light surface finish, to emphasize the spectacular colors in the lacquer.
The piece dates to about 1700-1750 and came from Shanxi Province.
