August Ungethüm Art Nouveau Mahogany Cabinet, Ca. 1905
About the Item
This valuable Art Nouveau cabinet was fabricated by the famous Viennese furniture manufactury August Ungethüm Kunst-Möbel-Fabrik. The cabinet documents the Viennese taste of the epoque and is in it self a rare piece of museum-quality. The cabinet was desingned in the early 1900s.
The item stands out with the harmonic interplay of the patterns of the mahogany and the geometric crystal shape arrangement of the body. The Ungethüm design impresses with the consonance of discrete natural and aritmetic forms.
The upper part is suitable for showcasing and storing topper wares. The lower section hosts four practical compartments. The clean design of the mahogany piece complements small and large intereurs.
