Borge Mogensen Teak and Oak cabinet set

About the Item

Superb case series designed by Borge Mogensen and made by AB Karl Anderson & Soner in the 1950s. These cabinets have it all: teak cases, solid teak drawer fronts dovetailed into pine drawers, recessed teak sliding door pulls, distinctive sculpted drawer pulls and sleek minimalist oak bases with metal braces. Used together or separately they make an impressive impact with matching dimensions and complementary details. This set consists of two matching 8 drawer dressers and an identical sized cabinet with sliding doors. The set is completed with a a pair of slightly shallower sliding door cabinets. The set could be used as a bedroom storage solution or split up to handle dining/living room duties as a buffet or media credenza. The larger cabinets sit on new bases of dowelled oak construction, fabricated to the exact specifications of the originals. Two cabinets retain their original makers labels. Cases have been lightly refinished but still retain their age-earned patina and show occasional wear to the tops and edges, most of which are concealed by the smaller cabinets when resting on top. All in all a very good and sought after set of high end cabinetry. Sold as a set. Dimensions: Large Cabinets 53" long x 18" deep x 33 1/4" tall Small cabinets: 53" long x 14 1/8" deep x 23 1/8" high

This is a very rare teak armchair designed by Hans Wegner and produced by Johannes Hansen in 1950. The JH-507 in teak and leather was only produced in limited quantities and is a hard piece to find. The chair boasts the original leather on its seat back, and it appears that the upholstery on the seat itself has been recovered in the last few decades. Some age-related wear is visible in the seat back upholstery (see photos for details) while the seat cushion leather is in wonderful condition. In addition to being a collectible item designed by an iconic name in mid-century modern furniture, this Hans Wegner JH...
