French 19th Century Louis XVI St. Belle Époque Period Cabinet Vitrine
About the Item
A stunning French 19th century Louis XVI St. Belle Époque period mahogany and ormolu cabinet vitrine. The cabinet is raised by circular tapered legs with elegant ormolu toupie shaped feet and Fine acanthus leaf designed top caps. The arbalest shaped frieze is centered by a richly chased pierced ormolu mount of a Fine floral wreath and foliate movements. The mahogany framed glass doors are flanked with fluted columns with decorative ormolu accents at the top and bottom The doors open to the original mirrored back and one glass shelf. The frieze is decorated with a wonderfully detailed ormolu swaging floral garland. At the top is a white Carrara fitted marble within a pierced ormolu gallery. With all original gilt and hardware.
