18th Century French Commode

About the Item

A superb high quality 18th century French rococo bombe shaped commode - in oak with two deep drawers in a faux marble painted finish with a beautiful real shaped marble top - the metal decorations and handles appear to be bronze - the chest and marble are offered in very good condition - this chest is not to be confused with 19th European bombe commodes it is very high quality construction - there is a engraved furniture makers or possibly owners mark on the chest beneath the marble which shows in the last photo - so far I have not been able to identify the mark - there are two pretty keys
