French Country Two Door Fruitwood Cupboard with Carved Floral Detail
About the Item
A nice size French country fruitwood two door cupboard with molded arched cornice surmounting two paneled carved doors opening to an upper and lower storage compartments, each with a single shelf, with single drawer between them. The piece has wonderful decorative brasses and floral decoration carved at the top and bottom, paneled sides, nicely shaped skirt, all supported by small carved French feet. This cupboard was converted into an entertainment center at some point with cutouts on both top and bottom, as well as an added shelf in the top compartment, with some wiring attachments on verso. Some evidence of minor worm damage. Good overall condition, retaining most of its original hardware, with refreshed finish, restorations, losses and wear commensurate with age and use.
