Louis XVI Mahogany Secrétaire à Abattant Circa 1820, France

About the Item

This neo-classic fall-front secretary not only has the beauty of Louis XVI style furniture but is very practical for modern living. It is perfect for small spaces, yet still provides a lot of storage and a large desk surface quite suitable for a laptop computer. It was hand made in France of mahogany with brass mounts and a beautifully figured marble top. It has 3 large drawers (1 above and 2 below the desk section) as well as 6 small drawers with 2 shelves and 2 cubbies in the desk compartment. The fall front has a working original lock and key.
