Bleached French Oak Sideboard Buffet, circa 1800's

About the Item

It is the lovely carved details and heavily paneled drawers and doors that draws one to this French oak sideboard which has been bleached giving it a lighter finish for today's modern home. The panel doors are accented with two small hearts in the upper corners. Brass pulls are attached to the three functioning drawers. Age has affected the doors which no longer fit tightly. The center door is held in place by an interior hook and eye, while the outer doors snap in place with an interior metal latch. A skeleton key will be included to use as pull if desired. Restored, stable and ready for use. All scratches, cracks, dings, dried old worm holes, stains and age related separation (top, doors, back, corners) are commensurate with age (200 yrs old) and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this oak sideboard. Note especially the visible distress seen along the entire top. Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting may all impact how item is viewed.
