He also worked with his wife Luisa on architectural projects, creating furniture, jewelry and glassware. Biography Domenico Parisi was born in Italy in 1916. During the first half of the 1930s, Parisi trained in building construction. In 1936, he joined the office of the rationalist architect Giuseppe Terragni and co-founded the architectural groups Alta Quota and Gruppo Como. A true jack of all trades, Parisi worked as a film director in the late 1930s. The year 1945 was pivotal for Parisi's career since it was on this date that he organized the first furniture exhibition contemporary in Como. Two years later, he married a former student of Gio Ponti: Luisa Aiana. The following year, they founded the La Ruota studio. Many artists and designers work together in this unique place of creation! Ico Parisi is a designer recognized by his peers: he was a member of the Art Club of Milan but also of the Associazone per il Disegno
