Antique English Georgian card / game / tea entry table. Made from mahogany featuring rectangular demilune form with satinwood inlaid flip top supported by square tapered legs. Once expanded the table is supported by two gatelegs.
The "Card / Gaming Table" gets its name from its intended use. It is most often used while playing cards, backgammon, and chess. Tables of this type, by design, are small and narrow, intended to function as attractive pieces of furniture when not in use.
