English Drop-Leaf Yew Wood Side Table with Single Drawer and Side Stretcher

About the Item

An English yew wood drop-leaf side table from the second half of the 19th century, with circular top, single drawer and side stretcher. This English yew wood table features a top made of two drop-leaves and rounded edges, sitting above a simple apron. When the leaves are up, resting on their supporting elbows, the fully opened top becomes circular and measures 27" of width. The apron comprises a single drawer that pulls all the way through on each end, and is adorned with a delicate scalloping on two sides. The table is raised on four straight legs connected to one another through a plain side stretcher. With its clean lines and convenient versatility, this English drop-leaf side table, circa 1870 will bring a touch of authenticity to any décor.
