19th Century Chinese Carved Hardwood Two-Tier Marble Top Pedestal Table or Stand
About the Item
19th century Qing dynasty carved hardwood pedestal table or plant stand with inset rouge marble top.
Rectangular black lacquered pedestal table with a carved and pierced frieze with a relief scrolling foliate design framing the reticulated openwork. It is supported by straight legs ending in stylized paw feet, joined by a lower tier stretcher. A sturdy and well-crafted stand in good condition with age-appropriate minor imperfections noting a crack in the corner of the marble. A sophisticated accent piece that will beautify any room and is a perfect choice to display something special or used as a tall side table.
