19th Century French Aesthetic Movement Bamboo Sewing Table

About the Item

A 19th century French Japonisme Aesthetic Movement sewing table with bamboo frame and decorative black lacquer panels with red and gold cranes. Hinged top has a beautiful embroidered silk panel protected under glass a surface and opens to a mirrored underside. Bright blue tufted silk interior compartments. Fold down handle at top for easy carrying. Sturdy and well constructed. All original. Silk is in overall good condition, considering the age and is slightly worn and torn in places. Circa 1880-1900. Dimensions are 22.75"W x 11.75"D x 28.25"H House shipping within the US continent is $300. via parcel.
