About the Item
Fratina is the name that the artist and designer Raoul Gilioli gave to the table you see in listening. It is a particular table because it is inspired by a very famous table that since the Middle Ages was used by the monks of monasteries for dinner and also to pray. In monasteries and in general in ecclesiastical environments ( apart from churches and cathedrals) sobriety and austerity impose very essential and functional furnishings.
The artist wanted to propose a historical and autero table in the form combining prayer and industrial style, To realize it he used dark recycled iron latres on which he worked with special oxides to give iridescent and iridescent shades with light. The final effect is an essential table that can be ambiantato in a very classic and ancient house but also modern, industrial, contemporary. The surface is treated to resist but also to oxidize and change over time depending on use. It’s a design object but also a work of art with an interesting and evocative concept.
