1964 Woodcut print, 12/100, "Topsail Ketches" by Lyonel Feininger, German-American, 1871-1956. From posthumous AAA edition, numbered lower left. Professor of graphic art & painting at the Bauhaus, leaving Germany in 1937 for NYC. Solo shows at MOMA (1944), Inst. of Contemporary Art, Boston (1949), & Cleveland Museum of Art (1951). "Topsail" is Prasse #W271/Catalogue Raisonne by Leona Prasse. 1931 work. Dry stamp insignia in Koza paper. Presented with the 100th anniversary 1972 catalogue of Feiniger's works (this piece is pp 86-87). Paper: 13" x 15". Image: 6.75" x 9.5". Frame: 14 1/4" x 18 1/4".
