Large Copper Iron and Wood Kitchen Ornament Hanger Extra Large

About the Item

The price is for the lot It is an Espater de garn, a very original and striking product, nothing common of that size and It is a set of copper and wrought iron utensils and skimmers from the first half of the 20th century. What makes this set unique is not that the utensils are very old, they are not, they are vintage. What is unique is the harmonious and very decorative that they form, which makes the set a singular and unique piece to decorate your kitchen. But the most important thing about this set is not the copper, it is the hanger where the copper saucepans are mounted. This hanger or coat rack is made of walnut wood and the hooks are made of antique hand-forged iron. They could have a century or two or three. It is almost impossible to know the precise moment in which it was carried out since throughout the centuries trades such as blacksmithing remained unchanged and in Europe, specifically in Spain, they were not common. This way of hanging was more typical of the Mediterranean zone, that of the center and north. This hanger was well used to hang utensils or to hang food such as chorizo, sausage or poultry. They are called "espeteras" both the utensils that are hung and the hanger where they are hung. Copper and wrought iron saucepans and skimmers hanging from an old hanger Ideal copper saucepans and skimmers to hang as an ornament in a rustic kitchen. Vintage Copper Saucepans and Skimmers kitchen wall decoration.

  • Antique Wall Display Cabinet with a Rare Mary & Child Jesus Sculpture Fragment
    Located in Lisse, NL
One of a kind, handcrafted display cabinet with a rare religious artefact. This excellent wall display cabinet still opens and closes perfectly and it comes with the original antique glass in the door. Finding antiques with the original glass with that beautiful ripple in it, always makes those pieces extra desirable (in our view). The striking acorn and leaf motifs in the handcrafted, molded borders of the door too are very stylish features to enjoy. Over the decades the gilding has slightly warn off, which has created a marvelous patina. Given the style, age and perfect fit, we think that this antique wall cabinet was specifically made for the rare religious fragment that it is holding. If you like this unique display cabinet then you will love the rare fragment it is holding. From the missing pieces on the sides you can see that this Virgin Mary and child Jesus plaque...

  • 19th Century French Gothic Sacrament Cabinet
    Located in Dallas, TX
19th Century French Gothic Sacrament cabinet was artfully sculpted from solid oak and fruitwood to create a remarkable religious artifact designed to be appreciated throughout the ages! The trapezoidal form of the casework is in keeping with the Gothic style, which historians concur originated in the Cathedral of St. Denis during the middle of the 12th century. Boldly molded crown follows the complex contours and overlooks the case below which features a single door flanked by cornerposts that feature pilasters facing front as well as the sides, with recessed arched panels topped with recessed circular frames above filled with carved rosettes highlighted in gold. The arched recesses facing the front are also filled with carved floral and wheat motifs also highlighted in gold, representing the Bread of Life. The door panel, however, steals the show, with a gloriously carved relief work depicting both wheat and fully laden grapevines adding the significance of the Blood of Christ...
