Rare Pair of Chanel Haute Couture Snake Bangles, Maison Goossens
About the Item
Rare Pair of Period Haute Couture Chanel Snake Bangles by Maison Goossens. These hand made hinged bracelets are composed of dozens of graduated gilt filigree caps soldered together to form the body of each bracelet. Each snake head is hand made with pate de verre cabochon eyes in emerald and ruby. Even the hinges are handmade which is quite extraordinary. The matching necklace is in the traveling show sponsored by Chanel, "Gabrielle Chanel, Manifest de Mode".
1960's Chanel Haute Couture. Signed on Ruby Snake bangle. Very Good condition.
Snake bangles 1" at wides, body approx .5" wide.
