A mid-20th century diamond-set bracelet
About the Item
A mid-20th century diamond-set bracelet, sixteen links set with small round brilliant-cut diamonds graduating from the centre and alternating with sixteen baguette-cut diamond-set links, the diamonds estimated to weigh 12¾ carats in total and assessed as G-H colour and VS1-2 clarity, all set in flexible mount, circa 1950, measuring 18.2 x 1.1cm, gross eight 55.4 grams.
This vintage bracelet is in fine condition for its age. Unmarked, tested as platinum with 18 & 9ct gold elements.
A scintillating diamond bracelet on sale at Bentley and Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. This bracelet was made in 1950 and is truly reminiscent of Hollywood glamour and sophistication. The glimmering diamonds featured in this bracelet appear delicate, and almost look like fine water droplets which have collected in each link of the bracelet. The alternating cuts of diamonds with each link provide a nice variety to the bracelet, and the flexible mount moves fluidly, incorporating a seamless and hidden clasp which is comfortable on the hand. Though the Old Hollywood era has ended, the desire for shimmering diamonds has never ceased, and this is the perfect showstopping bracelet a wearer who wishes to be noticed.
