Roman Malakov
Renowned for its boutique — a New York City Diamond District mainstay — as well as for its handcrafted, world-class engagement rings, the Roman Malakov jewelry company actually began an ocean away from Midtown Manhattan.
At the end of World War II in 1945, the eldest of the three Malakov brothers began studying with some of the leading watchmakers in Europe, eventually becoming a master watchmaker himself. He soon joined forces with his younger brothers, sourcing and dealing rare watches and gems, and eventually shifting focus to the latter. Soon, the family would master the art of the “Russian cut,” an art form they brought to their diamond cutting stateside, establishing their Diamond District location in the mid-20th century. As a wholesaler, manufacturer and retailer, the company oversees each step of the jewelry-making process for vibrant pieces of exceptional quality.
In the United States, the company continued its hands-on approach to sourcing, with the family and later, its employees working directly with mines around the world, from Lesotho to Siberia, for stones that are hand-inspected and certified as natural and conflict-free. This process results in a wide variety of stones — from pink sapphires to yellow diamonds in a range of cuts, with white diamonds joining these vibrant stones on almost every piece. Blue sapphires from Kashmir and rare Tanzanian rubies, for instance, are encircled with diamonds for lustrous halo rings.
Roman Malakov is well-known for its engagement rings and wedding bands, but it also produces bracelets, necklaces, earrings and cocktail rings in a rainbow of colors and styles ranging from traditional to Art Deco. Always, though, the centerpieces are the stones, which the company also sells loose, each a luminous gem embodying both natural beauty and fine craftsmanship.
And with three generations of diamond expertise, Roman Malakov is also the perfect resource for learning about how to clean a diamond ring.

The name Roman Malakov is now synonymous with quality jewelry and watches. From engagement rings to wedding rings to estate pieces and high-end jewelry, the firm carefully handcrafts all its pieces, understanding that each one immortalizes a special relation or memorable experience in a client’s life. The stones used are sourced straight from the mines and inspected by experts to make sure they meet strict quality standards. In addition to customization, Roman Malakov offers alterations, to make sure a piece perfectly matches the customer’s tastes and desires, as well as restoration and repairs.

Rooted in ancient history and culture, this symbol has transcended time and remains popular and fashionable even in the modern era. Today, there is a trend of adorning Khamsa hand symbols with gold and diamonds, as well as other precious stones, making them not only meaningful but also visually stunning. The use of gold in Chamsa hand symbols represents luxury and elegance. The warm hue of 18 karat gold adds a touch of opulence to the intricate design, making it a perfect accessory for those who appreciate fine craftsmanship. Diamonds, on the other hand, bring a dazzling sparkle to the symbol, catching the light and drawing attention to its powerful significance. The brilliance of diamonds symbolizes purity, clarity, and protection, enhancing the power of the Khamsa Chamsa hand. In addition to diamonds, other precious stones such as sapphires, rubies, turquoise, and emeralds can also be incorporated into the design. These gemstones, with their vibrant colors, add a touch of personality and individuality to the Khamsa Chamsa symbol. Each stone carries its own unique energy and symbolism, amplifying the protective qualities of the hand. Wearing Khamsa Chamsa hand symbols in gold and diamonds, along with other precious stones, not only serves as a fashionable accessory but also conveys a meaningful message. It represents a belief in the power of protection and warding off negative energies, making it a trendy and on-trend choice for those seeking both style and spiritual significance in their accessories. The Hamsa, Khamsa, Chamsa, or Evil Eye Hand is a symbol that has been historically used by Jews and Muslims in Arab countries. The term Hamsa is derived from the Arabic word meaning "five," as the symbol portrays the five fingers of a human hand. Within the Jewish faith, the Hamsa represents the "hand of God" and is also known as "the hand of Miriam," sister of Moses. Similarly, Muslims may refer to it as "the hand of Fatima," daughter of Muhammad. In recent times, the Hamsa symbol has gained popularity beyond its original religious contexts. It can now be found in various commercial and high-end jewellery stores, appearing on items such as jewelry, clothing, and artwork. Hamsa worn jewellery is a popular and meaningful accessory that has been worn by women for centuries. The hamsa, also known as the Hand of Fatima, is a symbol of protection and good fortune in many cultures and religions. This unique jewelry typically features a palm-shaped pendant adorned with intricate designs and gemstones. Some of the most famous A-Listers women spotted wearing the Hamsa jewellery...Category
