About the Item
A convertible riviera diamonds bracelet designed by Raymond Yard.
Beautiful piece created during the American art deco and the retro periods at the atelier of Raymond C. Yard, back in the 1940's. This riviera bracelet has been crafted as a convertible one, with the main central bracelet crafted in solid .900/.999 platinum and the "insert" in yellow gold of 14 karats with high polished finish. Fitted with a boxed push lock, a hinged security slash and two hinged figures 8 for extra safety.
It is a very interesting piece that combines two periods which complement each other very well. The main diamond bracelet have a geometric deco patterns at the sides and the insert have a geometric squared retro machine age pattern.
Diamonds: Mounted with 39 calibrated European cut diamonds with a combined weight of 5.85 carats, white colorless F color, VS-1 clarity. The settings are finished with millegrain dotted pattern
Weight: Combined of 35.2 Grams, (22.56 Dwt). Bracelet alone is 15.92, Insert is 19.1 grams.
Measurements: Length is 7 Inches (17.8 Cm), Width is 11 mm (0.43 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the serial numbers and signed, "YARD 1098".
Raymond C. Yard, began his career in the jewelry business in 1898 as a door boy at Marcus & Co. It was during this period that the newly affluent American industrial families began to patronize American jewelers like Tiffany & Co. Yard was encouraged by John D. Rockefeller, Jr., to open his own company.Rockefeller recommended the Yard firm to his family and connections, and shortly Yard was creating jewels for the Woolworth, Flagler, Dupont, Harriman, and the Vanderbilt families.
The firm, Raymond C. Yard, focused primarily on custom pieces for their clientele and was known for sourcing the highest quality of materials that his clientele demanded. Stock pieces were executed by the highest level of outside manufacturers, with Yard supplying the stones and designs.
His creations exemplified the understated elegance of impeccable workmanship combined with the very finest of materials. Raymond Yard prided himself on his knowledge of gems and was considered one of the foremost experts on pearls.

Note: The millegrain pattern is a jewelry technique which refers to the textural effect of a close-set line of metal beads that are typically used as a border on the edges or bezels of jewelry.
Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this bracelet is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold or the platinum. All diamonds are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
