This is a wonderful Victorian medal pin crafted in 14K yellow gold and vibrant red enamel that depicts Anton Rubinstein. The pin depicts an intricately detailed portrait of Anton Rubinstein crafted in yellow gold with "RUBINSTEIN" embellished above in rich red enamel. Below the striking portrait is a white enamel music sheet in a 2/4 time signature, with the music note "C" embellished with a round ruby. The pin is a tribute to Anton Rubinstein, specifically an homage to his Symphony No. 2 in C major, Op.42, titled “Ocean”. Rubinstein was a Russian composer known to be one of the greatest pianists of the 19th century.
