Antique Cut Steel Brooch

About the Item

Fabulous cut steel brooch with three lyre shaped drops will sparkle day or night. Cut steel jewelry is said to have started in Woodstock, England where it evolved from the craft of constructing steel toys. It became popular as an alternative to diamond jewelry. Surely for evening social occasions, by candlelight, it looked like rose diamonds. This lovely, Victorian necklace would have sparkled at many elegant dances and dinner parties. And still will.
