About the Item
Very nice modernist brooch depicting a bird in flight. Gilded sterling silver with maker marks. Fine vintage condition, only some minor scratches.
Atelier Borgila was founded by designer Erik Fleming (1894-1954) in the early 1920s.
In 1933 Borgila made the, 800 psc silver dinner service, wedding gift from the Swedish people to the Swedish Prince and his wife Sibylla.
Atelier Borgila is regarded to be the No 1 silver company in Sweden during the mid 20th C.
