Antique 2-Row Red Coral Necklace with 14 Karat Yellow Filigree Golden Clasp
About the Item
An antique 2-row genuine red coral (Corallium Rubrum*) graduated beads necklace with 14 karat yellow gold filigree closure. The necklace was made in the Netherlands in the early 1900s. The necklace has a middle length and optionally it could be worn as a single strand. The coral beads have a round shape and they display some natural irregularities regarding the shape, the color, and the surface, please see the pictures for details. The golden closure is not stamped with any gold content mark, but it was tested for the gold content and the test was positive for the 14 karat gold.
The necklace could be a great present idea for anybody who appreciates timeless beauty of antique coral jewelry.
The necklace is in good antique condition with the lovely age - related patina.
* Corallium Rubrum is not on the CITES list and it does not require the CITES permit, except for Australia that prohibits import of any type of coral.
