Natural Pearl Necklace GIA Certified Art Deco
About the Item
This Art Deco era (circa 1930s) pearl necklace measures a brief 15 ½ inches and is composed of 111 natural, uncultured saltwater pearls. The small and luminous pearls measure from 2.64mm to 3.62mm and they display beautiful orient, which is the prismatic display of color exhibited by some but not all fine pearls. The simple navette-shaped clasp has been created in silver and works perfectly. The pearls appear to be on their original string which likewise appears to be in fine condition.
Natural, uncultured pearls are an extravagant luxury because they are both exceedingly beautiful —because they are solid nacre— and exceedingly rare. Prior to the invention of cultured pearls in the 19th century, pearls are the most coveted gems in the world.
While the pearls here are small and the strand brief, this necklace will look magnificent on the right person. The scale of the necklace makes it perfect for layering, either with other favorite pearl necklaces or favorite chains. But the necklace is fine enough to stand alone on its glorious own.
The necklace ships with a certificate from the GIA stating that the pearls are saltwater and natural.
