Space Age Futuristic Lucite Necklace Rust, Chocolate and Taupe
About the Item
This stunning, futuristic necklace was designed in the 1980s by Temps Fixes, a French artisan studio based in Paris. The piece features a Space-Age design with a Lucite rigid around-the-neck band in pearlized tones of chocolate, rust, and taupe, composed of geometric pieces that create together optical effects and reflections. An engraved marking on the underside is not readable and probably stands for the model's or the collection's name. The necklace easily fastens around the neck with a discreet front opening.
Measurements: neck circumference 17.75 in (45 cm) - the front element is 6.88 in wide (17.5 cm) x 3.38 in high (8.5 cm) - This necklace will best fit a Small to Medium-sized neck.
Note: A group of three French designers specializing in plastic jewelry opened a store in Paris named "Temps Fixes" in the early 1980s. They remained in business for only ten years. Their design was very inventive and avant-garde for the period.
