About the Item
Fabulous 1980’s Alexis Lahellac brutalist bib necklace with the statement making look of chunky gold nuggets accented by sparkling crystal rhinestones. The necklace is created by linking rows of nugget-like gold tone metal alloy charms with detailed rings. The inverted triangle of the bib silhouette is perfect for adding a statement to both collarless and open collared garments. The toggle closure easily keeps the necklace in place and each nugget is hallmark at the back. Gold rush glamour at its best!
CONDITION
The necklace is in good vintage condition with some signs of age and wear. The gold finish has a darkened antique look and may have been brighter at one time. There are a couple of missing rhinestones, three to be exact, that are hard to see due to the brutalist design, please see photographs 11 and 12. Many Lahellec designs are also hallmarked with a small padlock charm but it seems to be missing from this necklace and may have been removed by the previous owner.
MEASUREMENTS
The necklace basically fits like a choker. It measures 18.75” from end to end and has a 5.75” drop at the longest point. Each gold nugget charm measures 1.25” wide and tall. The drop dangle spheres are each .5” diameter.
